Thanx for adding me back! Your stuff is really impressive. Between the cute-looking hipsters, fairy tale overtones, and punkrawk teen drama, I'd be tempted to label you the "next Becky Cloonan". But you're actually something even better -- you're the first (and original) Michelle Silva. Even during moments when your influences seem obvious, you succeed at bringing your own unique style to the mix. Incidentally, are you a fan of Francesca Lia Block's novels, by any chance?

Her best-known titles are the Dangerous Angels books, which feature drama queen Weetzie Bat and her extended family. Her narratives -- especially the ones collected in "9 Stories" -- touch on a lot of the same themes and concepts as your own work (which is why I asked). There are fairy tale and "soft" fantasy overtones (not always terribly subtle), as well as family squabbles, and brooding, well-dressed kids. Look her up -- as well as her first book, "Weetzie Bat" -- on Wikipedia, for more information. The entries are fairly comprehensive, and give you a basic idea about her titles. If that piques your interest, you might want to check out her stuff.
