In the year 2019 - political, sociological and economical turmoil dominate the Earth’s landscape; from new strains of deadly viruses to social unrest and wide spread terrorist attacks against westernized nations. From the unexpected and partial collapse of the United States’ economic system, to the failure of the U.N. to bring peace to the Middle East, mankind will soon find that it is a mere breath away from self-annihilation as the spread of global conflicts and dissent threaten the very fabric of life in every corner of the globe.

But global disaster, as inevitable as it may have seemed, would never transpire. For high above planet Earth, a powerful and mysterious energy source, later dubbed the Holocene Shift, would unleash its full fury and alien composition upon the unsuspecting inhabitants below. And in its destructive wake, contaminate earth’s entire ecosystem, eventually triggering the near extinction of every life form on the planet.

However, in the subsequent years, as the Earth begins the process of healing itself, mankind will soon discover that the Holocene Shift will have a lasting and profound effect on every aspect of life around the globe. Though the strange and near catastrophic force expunged the earth of nearly a third of its human populace, it would soon give birth to a promising new era in humanity’s short but often self-destructive history.

In the decade following the Holocene Shift, a single global governing body is formed as world leaders realize that their past individual efforts were by and large ineffective and unproductive. The belief being, had all nations, both great and small worked together they may have somehow collectively prevented this destructive force or at best, minimized the massive loss of life. With that in mind, its newfound focus is the overall security and well being for all of humanity and the study of the inexplicable physiological changes and extraordinary abilities that many of the Earth’s populace begin to exhibit.

It is these monumental changes that will soon challenge the newly formed government and with those challenges will come many unanswered questions. What exactly was the Holocene Shift? Was it the result of an earthbound high altitude experiment gone awry or was it something else - possibly alien in origin? And more importantly, what political and sociological affects will the uniquely gifted and highly evolved humans have on this present-day government and more importantly; the rest of humanity?

In another star system many light-years away, these questions are about to be answered in the intergalactic tale called Dominion: Eulogy, the prequel to Earth: Dark Genus and is the telling of the events that take place prior to the Holocene Shift and chronicles the final mission of both tales’ central character; Dominion.
