There isn't much to tell about me, except that I'm a 20-something literature geek who dabbles in comics. My first actual series is Adagissimo over on Webcomicsnation. It's one of those horribly annoying semi-autobiographical amateur comics. The strip started as a present for my room-mates. (I is poor) However, I've had so much fun drawing the strip that I just kept doing. The strip's been running since Feb 2007(gasp!) and updates on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I've also got some shorter 'one-shot' comics planned, but I'm holding off on them until I've learned a bit more about this comic business. For those who are interested, I was born in Kentucky and then moved to Texas shortly after. I was raised in a Coastal Retirement town and evacuated myself north at the first available opportunity. Random Fact: I have never been north of the Mason-dixon line.

If you do go, give a shout out to those of us from the area. There are a number of us going -- some just as fans, some as "professionals" hawking our wares, and some as a combination of the two. But regardless of your reasons for attending, everybody's on equal footing once we head across the street after the floor closes to have a beer.
In all seriousness, shoot over a private message to any of your Friends who are relatively local if you plan to attend. For the first round, at least, drinks are on me. |
