An interview with "Speedster":

CAPTION: Reporter: Why do you do what you do?
PANEL: Speedster is running around downtown during the night.

CAPTION: Speedster: Why not?
PANEL: Speedster is stopping a robbery at a liquor store.

CAPTION: Reporter: Well, you put your life at risk every time you stop a crime. What do you get out of it that makes it worth the risk?
PANEL: The robber of the liquor store is shooting bullets at Speedster.

CAPTION: Speedster: I don’t do anything that puts my life at risk.
PANEL: Speedster watches the bullets slowly pass by him.

CAPTION: Reporter: Fighting crime against armed criminals seems risky.
PANEL: Different criminals are shown with different weapons: Knives, chains, pipes, etc.

CAPTION: Speedster: They’re never armed for very long.
PANEL: A blur passes by the armed criminals and the criminals are no longer armed.

CAPTION: Reporter: How about your methods?
PANEL: Speedster is brandishing the weapons he took from the criminals.

CAPTION: Speedster: What about them?
PANEL: Speedster hits a criminal over the head with a pipe.

CAPTION: Reporter: They’re considerably more lethal than those of other super heroes.
PANEL: Speedster is wrapping a chain around a criminal’s neck.

CAPTION: Speedster: I never said I was a hero.
PANEL: Speedster rummages through the pockets of the inert criminals.

CAPTION: Reporter: What would you call yourself then?
PANEL: Speedster is purchasing a carton of cigarettes and a six pack of beer from the store he just stopped a robbery in.

CAPTION: Speedster: Just super.
PANEL: Speedster runs past a roadside speedometer with the display showing, “ERR”.

CAPTION: Reporter: Well, before I wrap this up, is there anything you want to say to your both adoring and despising public?
PANEL: A crowd of people, some holding signs in support of Speedster and others holding signs against him.

CAPTION: Speedster: People can say they love me. People can say they hate me. The truth of it is that if they didn’t love me then they wouldn’t talk about me… So to all my fans, positive, negative or somewhere in between: I’m here to do what I do and there’s no one fast enough to stop me so you may as well make the best of it.
PANEL: Speedster on a stage, behind a podium, in front of the crowd holding the various signs.

CAPTION: Reporter: Well, thank you for your time. I’m sure this has answered a lot of questions for a lot of people.
PANEL: Television news anchors broadcasting about Speedster with question marks over blurred images of him.

CAPTION: Speedster: My pleasure.
PANEL: Speedster relaxing on a beach with a big smile on his face.
