Dave, thanks for the add. Where's the best place to find out more info regarding your Postcards project and what else is on the horizon for you/Caption Box?

Tim! Great to hear from you, sir. I hope all is well.

The best POSTCARDS info is gonna come from Jason Rodriguez; he's been keeping people pretty well abreast of things with his blog. Though, I am pleased to say that it's now available for pre-order on Amazon.com.

As for me and Caption Box, on the academic front, I remain firmly entrenched, entering into my 2nd PhD semester here at BU, preparing to present at the upcoming Popular Culture Society event in April, and having taken part in the American Academy of Religion/Society of Biblical Literature annual conference (on a panel addressing comics and the bible); that panel will be online this month as part of the SBL's December issue, I'm told.

Creatively, I am at work with mpMann on a follow-up to THE LONE AND LEVEL SANDS, which was recently nominated for YALSA consideration. It also may be making the leap across the pond soon, but nothing official yet. EMPTY CHAMBER has been resolicited to finish up at the beginning of 2007, and there may be some further media adaptations to discuss about that after the new year. Once the script work on the LaLS follow-up is complete, I'll likely spring into a big, multi-character one-shot comic that I have been discussing with a number of independent creators. Then, scratching at the back of my mind, there is my Vertigo proposal (fingers crossed) as well as a very large, very involved modern epic that, really, wouldn't begin to take shape any time before 2008.

So, I remain quietly busy. How's by you?

Remove[ Posted by tim_oshea on Dec 27th, 2006 8:41 AM ]...

Wow, I was going to say I was busy and that's the reason for the delayed reply, but you have me beat in the busy department. I'm doing well, trying to get back in the Q&A mode after too long away from the mix. Fortunately it appears to be like riding a bike. Ya never forget. Happy new year and I'll keep my fingers crossed as well for you to continue to flourish as you seem to be doing. Be well.
