I write Goodbye Chains, which I welcome you to check out if you're up for that sort of thing. I hope you enjoy it if you do give it a try--it's got Communists in it and updates Tuesdays and Thursdays, and is relatively historically accurate as far as these things go. Fortunately, given the constraints of the setting, no one is a sassy gamer, so you can rest assured in the knowledge that there will be no lame Wii-related puns. I feel pretty good about that. I'm also working on some other stuff, including a story in the second volume of Image's 24seven. And something about birds! And zombies! (Not the lame kind, the kind that kills Vermont. Vermont has it coming.) And mods! Ex-mods. Ex-mods! I collaborate semi-frequently with Little Sister ( Meg Hunt), and every day in every way we get better and better. I still blog about comics, though not so much anymore. But oh! the shenanigans we had. Incidentally, if you have ever looked at the newest Supergirl and called her Supertorso, you have me to thank. (You're welcome.)

Goodbye Chains
Goodbye Chains is the story of a Communist and a thief in 1880s Colorado. They live, they laugh, they love, and occasionally people get hurt.
Pages 1-24 are here to whet your appetite; if you like it, the comic continues at goodbyechains.com.

Hi there! We’re starting up this year’s Small Press Idol…and wanted to invite you to the grand unveiling of this year’s Guidelines. I apologize for the all-in-one nature of this. At this time, individuals and teams have a little over a month to get things together and be ready to post their Round 1 entries. Round 1 will last till March 25th. It’s a solid window to get a project together and qualified for Round 2 past our judge panel. If you are interested in being a contestant, this is fair warning to get a project going! If you are a news outlet or resource of any sort, we invite you to help spread the word about Small Press Idol, and get on the official Sponsors and Supporters list on the Idol Main Page. Traditionally, the page has gotten hundreds of thousands of hits a month for the 5 months the contest runs. All we ask in return for the link placement on our prominently placed list, is a link back in some way that is fairly prominent, and that you indeed cover the contest if you are a news site. You can contact us about that right from the guidelines page. Just want to watch the show? That’s great! Now is time to sign up at the site so you can VOTE in the rounds to come, and post comments about your favorites! We’re expecting hundreds of contestants this year. It should be a lot of fun!

Hope this message reaches you in the spirit it was intended, you are welcome to ask questions, and otherwise make sure this is for real. This is the fourth year for the SPI. Last year’s contest pages are still online. So that’s what this is about, hope it interests you!

You have such a unique style. Whimsical yet strong. I like it. :) I've been guilty of a few Wii puns myself. I should feel ashamed, but... it's so tempting! And I've never did have a strong will against that which is the Wii. 1 Reply [ Latest posted on December 16th, 2006 1:01 AM ]

Heh, thanks! Glad you like it. I really like World Break--I'm not usually one for fantasy, but this one reminds me of the Suikoden series in a very good way (plus, the art is delicious), so I'm looking forward to where it's going :D. |

Thanks for adding me to your friends! Pardon this pre - written/fourm Seasons Greetings, as always we wish for peace on earth, and in this New Year may you have the wisdom to drink no more than one glass of alcohol for every too of alcohol and not drive… er, no. That’s water. One of alcohol and 2 of water- yah - so as to not get a bad hangover due to over conviviality. And maybe a nice bit of nosh too, a bit of nuts and cheese. And hey, some roasted meat or appropriate vegetarian substitute - but not tofurky, god that stuff is awful - so you don’t puke and look green like the other day at my friends place – the water that is, so you don’t puke - and the nosh so there is something solid to soak it all up with - her poor roommate I saw there while waiting to go to the bus station. And yah, don’t forget to not spend your buss or taxi money on all that like I did once - stick it in your shoe or something, unless you expect to loos those at some point. What was I saying? Oh yah, so happy New Year all! |

So the A stands for Alice! I'm sure that information was available somewhere else, but I'm going to pretend a huge mystery has been solved. Nice to see you here! Love the comic (well, you know that already, but it's nice to see praise in these little comment thingies). :D |
