I love comics, and am an amateur creator . . . very amateur. I've just been published for the first time, with two pages in The Girls' Guide To Guys' Stuff, the newly-released Friends of Lulu anthology. I'm working on my first minicomic, Goodness Knows, which should be available sometime int he first half of 2008 (optimistically). Then I can get back to working on my long-term project, Anathema, a comic about coming of age, free will, and possibly the Second Coming. (Not currently available at that or any other link, though you can see some old pages here in my gallery.)

(In spite of appearances, I am not a "Christian" cartoonist. I have a certain fascination with religious themes--I minored in Religion and Biblical Lit--but I tend to twist them around to reflect my much more pluralistic and agnostic perspective. Fair warning, I guess?)

In Spring 2006 I graduated from Smith College, ready to discover exactly what, in fact, you can do with a B.A. in English. (I am still working on this one, though I have some good ideas.) The previous summer, I interned at the fantastic Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction, Vermont. It's an amazing school, and I wouldn't mind going back someday.

Meanwhile, I read voraciously, and fangirl madly.
