The first comic I ever owned was Captain America #142, at the age of 4. Early highlights included Spider-Man, FF, & Batman.

I continued collecting DC & Marvel off and on through grade school, and picked up again in college - just in time for Dark Knight & Watchmen. Highlights in the 80's included Camelot 3000 & Moon Knight.

I dropped off for a few years, and picked up after the Death of Superman. Highlights in the 90's for me included Starman, Books of Magic, Sandman Mystery Theatre, Promethea, and Leave it to Chance.

I stopped collecting weekly in 2001, and picked up select titles only in the past year, after whetting my appetite listening to podcasts like Comic Book Noise and Indie Spinner Rack. New highlights include Criminal, Phase 7, and Athena Voltaire.
