Header: LOOKING FOR A FEW GOOD COMIC REVIEWERS!
Bulletin: Hello! I'm looking for a few people interested in becoming a comic book/graphic novel reviewer. There's no pay (when is there ever..??? haha) but what there is, is a chance to be heard, seen, read, and just talk comics and share your opinions in a professional way.

I can't name the site at the moment (things are still in the works) but the site is a known comic info site and has upwards of 2 million overall page views a month. This site is also going to undergo a serious facelift and some re-workings soon and I'm pretty much responsible for getting a truly unique review section underway.

We need about 10 reviewers (maybe more depending on what people can review) to read and provide paragraph length reviews on comics from all sorts of genres. I can't guarantee free review copies of books (at least not at first anyway) so we're looking for people that are also avid readers right now to review books that are even in their own collection. We're interested in doing a "Blast from the Past" segment in which previously released comics from 10+ years ago are discussed. Our main focus will be recent titles though. We're interested in manga reviews as well - and we plan on having a separate section for graphic novels and trades as well. There's A LOT more to tell, but that info will be for qualified candidates.

If you are at all interested, please email me at alternacomics@hotmail.com with your name, age, how long you've been reading comics, if you have prior writing experience (it's not necessary BUT you do have to know how to "write"), and how often you're able to review. It'd also be great if you could let me know how many comic books and graphic novels you read in an average month and what kinds of genres you'd like to tackle. Anything else you would like to tell me that you think would help get you the position is more than fine. Everything will be done through email (and maybe phone once in a while) so there's no need to relocate anywhere (i think that's understood but i just want to spell that out).

Looking forward to seeing a lot of you submit!
-Peter
