Hi there, I'm Gemma and this is a short blurb about me.

Working from at home in a room not much bigger than a cupboard, I devote a lot of time towards art and manga. I've always loved to draw, from a young age I was rather obsessed with horses and drew them every chance I got. Then when I turned 11 I was introduced to a role-playing-game called Final Fantasy VII and the anime and card game, Pokemon. I was hooked. From there I've grown a great interest in everything anime, manga and RPG-like.

This created a very long phase of drawing fan art, I still do so now, just not as much. I posted some on my website, Final Fantasy World and got some great comments, but never actually thought of taking art seriously.
Then in summer '06, I got a magazine named ImagineFX, it really opened my eyes to the world of digital art. The art was so inspiring that I began drawing my own digital art in Adobe Photoshop with an old 'Trust' Graphics Tablet.
I had had about two years of experience in the program beforehand with graphics and lineart colouring, so I knew my way about.

I've been creating digital art ever since, I also received a Wacom Tablet from my parents for my birthday in October '06 which I treasure. <3

Now, you may be wondering, I have all this digital and traditional art stuff going here, but what about comics? Well, last year, a friend of mine asked if I'd like to draw the art for his story in the form of a comic.
Well I accepted the opportunity. So far I've created most of the main character concepts, (with just three left!) and a few digital pieces to go with it.

Oh 'tis fun to be vague!

...No, the comic is not ready for viewing yet, that's the real let down here. BUT, I've been experimenting with the Manga Studio X program to figure out a style and I hope to have a few drafts of the beginning pages done soon.

It sounds almost hopeless doesn't it? Why am I setting up an account here with no comic? To be honest, I'm not sure myself, but why not? I thought I'd check out some of the comics here and then hopefully soon I'll be able to show off my own work. :)
