Who am I?

I'm Ambush Bug from AICN Comics.

Turn ons: good comics, long walks on the beach, sharting (other people's), chicks who dig me, Pixie Stix, things that make you go "hmmm...", alcohol, zombies, dreamers, and a well timed fart.

Turn offs: decompressed storytelling, splash pages, onions, the guy who reads comics in front of me in the store as I'm trying to pick out my books, sharting (my own), and people who take themselves too seriously.

When I'm not attempting to write my own fiction, I do comic reviews at AICN. I've been writing reviews for Ain't It Cool News for five years and putting together the weekly column for three. I'm damn proud of the work the AICN @$$Holes have done over the years and glad that we're still the place to find honest, off the cuff, straight from the heart, no bullshit opinions, thoughts, and beliefs about comics and the talent and industry that makes them.

Right now, I'm enjoying more indie books than mainstream with anything from AiT/Planet LAR or ONI at the top of the list. Zombie books are my weakness. But that doesn't mean I don't like my mainstream fare. Although I criticize them heavily in my reviews (we're always hardest on the ones we love), the bulk of my pull is from Marvel and DC.

I've been reading comics since I was 8 when I inherited a gigantic collection and probably will buy comics till the day I perish from this plane of existence.
