| Bulletin: | The following is copied from the blog on my site, TRU-Life Adventures. What I failed to mention there is that most of the archives are still down (but will be up by the weekend, and the forum was completely hosed. Backups are a good idea. Late Friday night, TheHostPros went down. Everything related to them: their main site, the webmail access, and every site they hosted, including this silly little comic of mine. Well, no matter, I figured. This type of thing has happened before. I'll just upload the Friday stip over at my ComicSpace site, which I've been doing since they opened the feature up, and in a couple hours things will be running smooth over here again. It's happened before, it's no big deal. They've been hosting me since 2001, I know what to expect. Friday night turned to Saturday, Saturday turned to Sunday, it came time to start posting comics again (oddly enough, I don't particularly care for the Midnight Rule), and the site still wasn't back up and running. So I kept posting strips over at ComicSpace, and started looking for a new provider. I am now with the potentially fine folks at HostExcellence, and their plans allow me a bit more flexibility with how I run things. The old setup, with the hacked and tweaked ComicGallery setup, will be going the way of the dodo shortly. I have a lot more options open to me now. The worst part about all this? Friday's strip was one of the biggest twists ever, and relatively few people got to see it. |
