BACKGROUND

Born September 1985 in Liverpool, England, I have always had an appreciation for and desire to create art since childhood.

Illustration, painting, photography and film are all disciplines I have practised at one point in my life. But it was comic art and creation that truly grasped my heart and gave me the greatest creative outlet possible, and a place to tell the many stories I've dreamt of telling.

WRITING

Writing has always been a major part of my creative life. I've enjoyed my time spent creating characters and worlds for many years, but had never found a truly exciting way to express these concepts and tell these stories to others.

Use of film and animation was a goal at one point, but the medium of comic books came out on top as the most satisfying form of entertainment.

I have, over the past few years, allowed my drawing skill to decay in favour of my writing skill. All of my focus has been on the learning and creation of written stories, and the development of my understanding of comic book creation and writing.

Unfortunately, writing has been the hardest path to breaking into professional comic book creation for me; it is very difficult to earn the trust of artists and editors, and start the process of creating in collaboration.

So...

COLOURING

In order to meet the artists, inkers, letterers and editors; I have taught myself the art of painting and colouring. In this I have hoped to create a strong network of artists and like-minded friends, that one day may wish to collaborate on creator owned work.

It's worked out well so far.
