I write and publish my own comics from a secret underground bunker in Southend-on-Sea, UK. My work includes the Eagle Award-winning one-shot Hero Killers and vampire murder mystery Blood Psi.

Forthcoming work:

Septic Isle
Graphic novel. A former MI5 agent battles neo-Nazi terrorists in a bleak and brutal post-7/7 London. Solicited in August's edition of Previews. Art by Mick Trimble.

Tim Skinner
One shot. A scabrous parody of all the comics and characters you hold dear starring the world's biggest b*stard. Art by Declan Shalvey, out 2008.

Brothers
One shot. Feuding super-powered siblings battle crime... and each other.

How could I forget to offer my congratulations on winning the Eagle Award - I read Herokillers on the way home from the Bristol Expo - a well deserved win! Brilliantly original!

Regards,

Simon

Southend on Sea. Wish I was there now instead of at work on Christmas day in Thailand :( Glad to see another resident from these parts. I believe that makes you, I, Gary Spencer-Millidge and Warren Ellis. Know anyone else? Do you visit ACE comics in Victoria Plaza which Lea manages?
Cheers John

Hope you still managed to enjoy Christmas, John! I visit ACE in Victoria Plaza virtually every week. The Plaza itself is currently undergoing extensive rebuilding (scaffold everywhere) and that's badly affecting the number of people using it and the comic shop. Even at Christmas, the place was practically deserted.

There's a bit of a comics contingent in this neck of the woods. Other than the people you mention, I know that James Redington (Portent Comics) is an Essex boy, too.

Hello,

I requested an add because I read your PDF preview of HERO KILLERS.
Not bad at all! Even better you're pulling it off in a one-shot. Keep up the good work and fighting the good fight.

Thanks for your kind words - much appreciated. I like the one-shot format a lot, I think they make more sense for a tiny, tiny indie publisher like me than a continuing series or mini-series.
