| Header: | THE [h]IT LIST • FIRST THURSDAY - OLD TOWN CHINATOWN | ||
| Bulletin: | If you have a First Thursday event to share, please e-mail marsala.one@gmail.com to be included in our monthly publications! FIRST THURSDAY | May 2008 edition {beta} Dare we hope that spring has sprung? Or is this yet another one of those seasonal jokes our dear Portlandia is so fond of? It may not quite be time to pack away your rain gear [is there such a thing here?], but it is definitely time to find those sunglasses. The cherry blossoms may be off the trees, but there is still plenty of art to go around! THIS MONTH AT SEQUENTIAL ART {328 NW Broadway 113} Wednesday Members Preview: April 30th, 7-9 pm First Thursday Opening: May 1st, 6-10 pm THE SWINGIN' SCARY LARRY & GAGERT SHOW! "Swingin' Scary Larry & Gagert" is a project five years in the making from creators Devon Devereaux & Sean Hemak ("Tales of Hot Rod Horror"). SSL&G is a full on multimedia experience, bringing long forgotten favorite films back from the dead. On hand will be original art from the SSL&G graphic novel and TV show by the two creators. The duo will be hosting the classic horror film "Carnival of Souls" for the first episode of their TV show appropriately titled "The Swingin' Scary Larry & Gagert Show". The creators will be on hand in character for the opening on May 1st 6-10 PM at Sequential Art Gallery, 328 Northwest Broadway 113, Portland, OR 97209 to sign DVDs, comics and death certificates.
