By day I am an IT professional, but by night (and generally any time not taken up by my family, surfing and dressing up in medieval armor and hitting other people) I am a comic book artist. I am currently working on several creator owned, independant books. As I get the copyrights to these things finalized, I can begin to show some of the character work and prelim pages. Sad news for the Art World!!

I received the following notice on July 10th.

The world has lost a great artist.

The head of SoL's art department, our chief storyboardist and general comics wizard Shane O'Neil Briley died Saturday, June 7 2007, after a car crash the night before. He is survived by his wife Vanessa.

The upcoming feature Summer of Lovecraft will be dedicated to his memory, for the dedication and inspiration he showed the project. SoL would not be what it is without his contributions.

Shane, you will be missed.
