| Bulletin: | Hola to all those "Gato-Fans" out there, Wanted to drop this line to inform you all that everyone's favorite Latino superhero, El Gato Nergo will be soon rubbing elbows with the likes of the Savage Dragon (Erik Larsen), Shi (Billy Tucci), Cry for Dawn (Joe Linsner), Madman (Mike Allred), Mr. Monster (Michael T. Gilbert) and many more...in a upcoming story arc! You ask: "Wha...? How did this come about...!!!???" well, hold on partner, and I'll tell ya'... Dave Ryan, penciller and writer for Red Anvil Comics, based in New York...is coming out with a multi-mini-series comic book with appearances of nearly every independent comic book characters ever created (by their creators) entitled : "WAR OF THE INDEPENDENTS". El Gato Negro will be one of many "indies characters" appearing in the crossover series and will have a 'good part' in the story. HA! Who needs Marvel's "Civil War"??? "War of the Independents" series of books will be launching in July 2008. It will be co-written with Richard Kane Ferguson http://www.myspace.com/richardkaneferguson and inked by Peter Palmiotti http://www.myspace.com/peterpal The deadline for joining the "War" was Jan.1st. There are so many indies and creators out there, some of which we've never seen or ever heard of, that to be fair, Ryan had allowed some who asked to be involved in the project. Let the games begin! It will be co-published with Arcana Studios http://www.arcanastudios.com/ and followed by a 4-issue lead-in series called "Penance" launching in July 2007. El Gato Negro will be pencilled in the middle of amongst all the other characters!
