I just got "Thirteen Steps" #1 today and I must say that I am truly blown away. Your artwork was so gripping and just detailed enough. And there wasn't any panel waste either. So many artists and writers cut corners by copying drawings as if they were animation so it was great to see that everything you did was freshly drawn.

My compliments go to the writers too for what looks to be like a fresh and fun but meaningful look at what could have been a really hokey concept. It's great that you have a werewolf lead character but with so many monsters and weirdos in the cast that we haven't met yet, I can't wait to see what else lies in this world.

This series is already on my pull list and will be staying there for sometime. I'll be pushing it for my friends too.

Travis, I just wanted to put in a plug that I (being fantastic and great and the absolute arbiter of good taste in the world) bought your 2006 collection at B-Bop today. It's a great collection! To think they published Cowtown all of those years when they could have been publishing comics by you (except you were too young back then.)

I didn't get a chance to talk to you at Planet ComiCon but I wanted to buy a copy of issue one. However, the ones you had were a bit steep so I had to pass (Yes, I know that's pure or almost pure profit for you.) But now that the trade is coming I'm a lock for it. I can't wait.

I'm looking forward to the Drink & Draw. I don't drink (much) and I don't draw (much) but Mike Sullivan said I ought to come out anyway and Mike's never wrong. Word is that you've got a pretty well established bunch who'll be out there so I'm looking forward to lots of meeting and re-meeting people.
