Hey! :) I was waiting for you to add me so I could post a comment. Thanks for reading our comic, we like it, but I think the humour is lost on about 70% of the population... I LOVE the artwork on your comic, but you need to change the resolution or the sizing or something, because it's sometimes a bit blurry which makes the text difficult to read, I kind of had to squint at it. 2 Replies [ Latest posted on February 5th, 2007 7:58 AM ]

If it helps, a good size to make your artwork for the internet is around 600pixels wide (the height doesn't matter), and 72dpi (you can change these in the image>image size function on photoshop, sorry if you already know that). Do the text after you've got the artwork to the size you want, then it won't get blurry from resizing. I had a lot of trouble with the first comic I ever did on the web, the sizing was all over the place, quite apart from it being totally lame. |

Howdy! As the last guy said, I was waiting for you to add me so I could comment on your work. I really like your artwork - do you paint it all the traditional way or do you work digitally?
(If it takes your fancy, have a look at www.irishcomicchallenge.com; a new round's just started and I'd be very interested to see the contrast between your style and the regular submissions.) 2 Replies [ Latest posted on February 5th, 2007 7:27 AM ]

Hmmm, I should really update that (you'd be surprised at how many people say that to me). If you're interested, just send your entry to fyshbowlcomics @ gmail.com by the deadline.
(Actually, I need to mention this explicitly too; obviously you retain all rights to whatever you send in.) |
