In the past few years, I've switched to doing all art digitally, working in Photoshop and Illustrator. I use a Mac and draw with a Wacom Intuos3 tablet. Since I switched to an environment with an "undo" function, my productivity and skill has gone up several hundred percent. Nowadays, I even enjoy inking, something I used to detest.
