My name is James Hardin and I'm from Orlando, Florida. I am currently a mechanical engineering student at the University of Central Florida. If I’m not studying, working, or with my girlfriend, I'm reading comics!

My earliest remembrance of comics was when I was a little kid. My dad would read a ton of comics, so when he went to the comic shop, he would always buy me some kind of comic, whether it was Batman or Ninja Turtles. I always loved watching the Batman and Superman animated series in the 90's. As I went into middle school, my dad no longer got the monthlies, but switched to TPB's. So I ended up reading all his trades while I got hooked onto many Marvel Essentials and Geoff Johns' JSA. However, in my junior year of high school, Jim Lee stopped by my LCS to promote Batman: Hush. After getting his entire run signed, I have returned to the comic shop every Wednesday since then.

I read many things, but probably call myself a DC fan. My favorite writers are Geoff Johns and Ed Brubaker, while my favorite artists are Jim Lee and Darwyn Cooke. Some of my favorite titles are:

-Criminal
-Casanova

I'm also a huge fan of the podcast Comic Geek Speak (CGS). They have great topics in their episodes for any comic fan. They are a huge community that supports the industy and provide an awesome online forum for people to meet fellow geeks.

I've also been filling up a sketch book at comic conventions. My sketchbook has a Pulp/Serial theme which can be seen at comicsketchgallery.com. I will soon be starting a Stargirl themed sketchbook at CGS's Episode 300.
