| Bulletin: | This Wednesday, Cthulhu Tales: The Rising hits comic shops across North America. This book contains my 8-page story "The Art Of Noises" that I've described thusly in an interview: "...it's about the secret history of 20th century music and how everyone's favorite Lovecraft creation fits into the whole thing. I got the title from a famous essay by Luigi Russolo, who designed these beautiful noise generators in the first part of the last century, and the germ of the story came from Mahler's Third Symphony, which has a key structure that was radically different from anyone else's work at the time." Really, it's much more interesting than it sounds and it features fantastic, moody art by Joe Abraham and colors by Sundar Raj that made me flip out like ten ninjas when I saw them. This special also features stories written by people like John (Transformers, Global Frequency) Rogers, Michael Alan Nelson (who's doing the upcoming Fall Of Cthulhu series), Johanna (Eureka) Stokes, and my Cover Girl collaborator and creator of the hit SciFi channel program Eureka, Andrew Cosby. I've reproduced the cover below so you can instantly identify it across a crowded comics shop and zoom in on it. ![]() |
