Please request to "friend" me if 1) you read my comic already 2) you have just checked out my comic and were enamoured of it 3) you think I might like your comic... cuz it is alternative, or drawn by a girl/woman..., it has lgbt content, it is a casual handdrawn style, it is Canadian, nonmainstream (ie real life stories from North Korea, or the Ivory Coast or Finland), or quirky in some way 4) you know me or 5) you have another reason, ie you run a comics museum, a review zine, a magazine, you know my mother... Please don't request to "friend" me IF 1) You are just trying to rack up a whole stack of "friends" and don't know me from a hole in hell 2) You don't read my comic and don't care to read my comic 3) You think I might like your comic (cuz hey, EVERYONE likes your comic) but it is boringly racist or sexist or really mainstream stupid jokes, or it is really welldrawn manga but I'd never read it, it mostly has fairies, or drunk people in university, or sports fans, or fantasy worlds with robots, or supermen or whatever... unless it falls into one of the #3 categories above 4) You haven't got a clue what a bi-dyke might be, and if you did, you'd probably make frat boy jokes about it. Really. I don't read many comics. I WILL check out your page and your comic before I ok you. And I consider a friend someone I know, or want to know, and would hang out with. Thanks.

As always we wish for peace on earth.
And in this New Year may you have the wisdom to drink no more than one glass of alcohol for every too of alcohol and not drive… er, no?
That’s water, one of alcohol and 2 of water- so as to not get a bad hangover due to over conviviality.
And maybe a nice bit of nosh too, a bit of nuts and cheese.
And hey, some roasted meat or appropriate vegetarian substitute - but not tofurky, god that stuff is awful - so you don’t puke and look green like the other day at my friends place – the water that is, so you don’t puke - and the nosh so there is something solid to soak it all up with, bread with it all is really the best - her poor roommate I saw there while waiting to go to the bus station.
And yah, don’t forget to not spend your buss or taxi money on all that like I did once - stick it in your shoe or something, unless you expect to loos those at some point. What was I saying?

Thank you for the add-back. It is nice to see you here, despite your (understandable) raised eyebrow over the total ridiculousness of "friend" as a verb, and the like.
I will say that I have been reading 'Liliane' for a couple of years now, and it is one of my favourite webcomics. |
