=BEE-HIVE STUDIOS=MY DEVIANTART GALLERYLIVEJOURNAL---------------------- I've been inking comics since around 1999. I attended courses at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Design, Inc., in Dover, New Jersey, for two years, then continued my training afterwards through practice, research, observing others, and through the support of other friends and professionals in the artist community. My biggest inspiration as an inker is Sandra Hope, a FANTASTIC woman inker, whom worked with Humberto Ramos on the comic series, 'Crimson', and 'Out There'. Projects I have worked on, or am currently working on:'Berserk' - written by Noah Miller, penciled by Nicolas Colacitti'Fionn, issue 1' - Nifty Comics, written by Mat Nastos, penciled by Pierre Villeneuve 'The Bullet' ( current project ) - Flax Comics, written by Hermes Pique, penciled by Nicolas Colacitti 3 book covers for Enslow Publishers, for their Authors Teens Love series. Sticker designs for EK Success ( first design bought by Michaels Arts and Crafts! WOOT! ) I can and do ink in any medium, brush, ink, digital, pens, nibs, rulers, whatever is asked for, but over all, I am a brush and ink person. Brush of choice is a Raphael Kolinsky sable hair number 2 round, 8402. -- Conventions I am planning to attend in 2008 and 2009: Not sure yet. I kind of took 2008 off from doing tables in artist allies. --- My contact information ( take out the spaces ): Yahoo: wee_beebhs @ yahoo . com Gmail: weebeebhs @ gmail . com AIM: weebeebhs01 And don't forget to visit my website, Bee-Hive Studios, at http://beehivestudios.koojisites.com

Bee's Various Comic and Art Projects
Here, you will be able to see samples of comics I'm working on / have worked on, either as penciler or inking someone else's pencils. I'll also show off the occasional black and white lineart piece here, and other artwork as well.

Hi Debra, Sure I remember you! It's hard to forget the female students, since there are so few of you! I remember you and Berverly from that year. Hope you're doing well!
Take care, Dan 1 Reply [ Latest posted on January 23rd, 2007 7:30 AM ]

Heh, yeah, we're far and few in between ^^;. And yep, I'm doing okay. Working with Flax Comics! Haven't spoken with Bev in a while, but Tammy and I are good friends now.
I'll stop on by your table in Artist Alley at NYComicCon. Only going to be there on Friday to get some inking submission portfolios passed around, but I intend on making the most out of the entire day.

Hey, saw your rant on the Kubert school being demolished, and as I'm a student there right now, I figured I'd give you some info on it. It turns out that it's not really a safety issue; the Kuberts had made a deal with WalGreens to sell the back half of the school to be turned into a WG if walgreens also renovated the front half of the school as well (new flooring, real heating and cooling systems, etc.). The asbestos was really just an obstacle on the way towards that goal. 1 Reply [ Latest posted on January 22nd, 2007 9:45 PM ]

Ah, okay! Yeah, someone told me on my LJ a few minutes ago. It makes sense, and I'm happy to hear that Joe wants to keep the all over style of the building similar all around, and he'll still have a big say in what happens if things don't go well. This should also make getting prescriptions a little easier for attending students as well.
Thanks for letting me know more!
