Like ants at a picnic, here I am.

Aaah community sites, can't live with em, can't live without em.

I guess I should say something...I write and draw a little comicbook called
Wormwood:Gentleman Corpse

I draw another one written by my lord and master, Mr Warren Ellis called Fell.

as well as Hatter M, written by Frank Beddor, magician supreme. Should be more of that coming in 2007 and covers to Wasteland, By Antony Johnston and Chris Mitten...plus other things I'm sure I forget.

Last but not least, my artbook, Tommyrot.
Check them out if you have the time. Especially if you like zombies, horny leprechauns, or crime comics.

My website is Templesmith.com and I have a "sort of" blog over at Livejournal.

Cheers for looking.

Wish I could reply to all the comments, but it won't let me I think. Bugger!

Oh and here's the tentative cover to my new book, Conluvio, assorted hired scum and villains from the Part-Time Interdimensional Assassins Guild.

The wager Templesmith vs. cIndyCenter.com

Okay so the truth is out... Yes it is true Ben Templesmith and I had a friendly wager. I have to admit that I have accused Ben of living the Rockstar life and being an all around fun guy. Ben then stated the fact that cIndyCenter.com is also known for being party people. After few zombie races, and several shots of tequila (without the worm)... Ben suggested that I put my money were my mouth is; and offered a wager. He said that he'd complete the first Arc of Wormwood Gentelman Corpse, and publish the trade before we could finish editing and posting the podcast interview with him. Okay, so... errr... he won, and not only did he win he even did an extra issue (#0). So what did Ben win??? cIndyCenter.com has agreed to promote the release of the TPB by advertising on the backcover of the program for the S.P.A.C.E convention in Ohio (April 21 and 22, 2007 at the Aladdin Shrine Complex in Columbus OH). The print run on the program is very limited, so I encourage everyone to attend the Ohio conference to get a piece of history.

I want to formally apologize to Ben, his lovely wife, his family, and the fine people at IDW publishers. I also warn others that wagers and tequila do not match.

I just ordered Tommyrot and will suffer in agony until the glorious day it arrives. See what great art does to me?

Well now I feel guilty. In my defence, it's not "great" art, just my art, but hopefully it's worth the wait. :-)

[ Posted by Hellstorm on Feb 1st, 2007 12:37 AM ]...

I got Tommyrot a few months ago. It's well worth the wait, though you should have gotten it months ago. Heh, heh.

Just finished Wormwood #6. Phew. Now straight into more Fell which so far I've only been nipping at.

Just put up another old original. Sam and Twitch! If nothing else, check it out to see how the original peice fares against the final color version. It comes with a colour proof.

Great Interview. I had wondered about the process of your work so I learned quite a bit by listening. Thanks for posting the link.

Thanks! I plan on trying to do more showing of progess shots and what not on how I end up with the art I do in the future.

Cool sketch.

[ Posted by Ben_Templesmith on Jan 12th, 2007 7:13 PM ]...

Am going to probably start trying to clear out my art files of a lot of old stuff that's fallen between the cracks over the last few years. I really need to tidy up, ( And send more off to my agenty type feller over at Splashpageart.com, since I have some more to give him now. Check him out for all the art that I've not also written. )So first up there's this ol' Ghost Rider sketch I did back in 2005. Completely forgot about it and the fact I'd a half done color version...which I finished off not long ago because I couldn't resist.

Thanks for all the kind words and people signing up and stuff. Stick around and I'll figure out new ways to abuse this thing and put up some art and news. ( or you could just check out the new website, the blog and the myspace pages heh...;-P )

Hi Mr. Templesmith,

First wanted to say condolences on your loss. Best wishes go out to you and yours.

Secondly wanted to thank you for the add. Like everyone else on here, simply blown away with your work on FELL, and looking forward to upcoming issues. I hope word of mouth will help sales increase on that title, because that series should be selling 100,000 copies easily.

Dug your site. The story on the Wandjina, very interesting. Haven't checked out Wormword, Tommyrot, or Conluvio, but now have items to look out for.

Thanks again for the add, and keep up the great work.

Wormwood is excellent...let me know what you think of it. Tommyrot...well lets just say I've got it on my coffee table. I love the expression on the face of visitors who pick it up...you know...that glazed over look people get when they are entranced and enamored by something...that's Tommyrot!

Cheers man. Fell is a pleasure...and an honour...to work on really. Glad people dig it so much. Working on #8 right now.
