My name is Don, and all my life I’ve been fascinated with pulp magazines, movie serials, radio shows… all the old-school adventure stuff that inspired comics in the first place. I always wanted to pay tribute to these legendary tales and characters. Recently, I began to try to put my ideas down, to actually do what I’ve never been able to do: actually DO something with these ideas. My goal is to publish my ideas as a series of novels, but maybe one day a comic or webcomic would be nice, also.
I got my ideas together and submitted them to an illustrious group of my online friends for feedback. I plan to keep a journal online, to present my ideas as well as the feedback from my team, M.A.R.D.L. (or “Miami Aerodrome: Research and Development Laboratories”). I’m excited about this development process, and hope all this will motivate me to fulfill my goals. ![]() (Banner courtesy of nycpulpadventures, MARDL wing-logo by Dave_Flora) *Visit the M.A.R.D.L. blog! The site is the proposed research, discussion, and development hub for an upcoming series of stories featuring new, pulp-style heroes Clifton “Challenger” Storm, The Cipher, and The Black Wing. It is a work in progress. Feel free to comment regarding the developments therein… *Join Doctor Lightning and his minions in The Pulp Collective! *For something really boring, visit my personal blog.
