I've been reading comics (well, at least looking at the pictures) since I was about 3 or 4 years old and have never stopped. Grew up with Marvel and DC superheroes and was bombarded with Kirby, Romita Sr., Ross Andru's Spiderman and of course John Buscema. That was my inspiration to first put pencil to paper and ink to pencil. A couple of artists that I'm really into these days are Stan Sakai, Adrian Tomine and Xaime Hernandez.

My small press company:

Bliss Issue 2

Continuing the story of Daniel Bliss. In this second issue, Bliss encounters slumlords, new friends, new abodes, cat and music as he tries to make it on his own. Told against the backdrop of Chicago during the 90's, don't miss the second issue of this acclaimed series

Plant Guy issue 1

In a future where man has fallen from the evolutionary ladder and science has spun out of control leaving a mutated wake, Plant Guy and Chu the Carrotoid survive in this world gone mad!

I have just released my first comic called Bliss, a semi-autobiographical story that takes place in Chicago during the 90's. It is available for purchase from my website IndieOnlyComics.com. Check it out, I think you'll like it!

Thanks for all your help Paul. It means a lot to me to have issue three out. And you were right about the community. It's great to know there are a lot of like minded people, like us.

Thanks for the comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the comic. I wasn't sure if Agnew would be into it but it's good to hear he liked it too.

Holy fucking ass crackers! Can I say that on this thing? Well I just did! So there! It's my honest Impression of the Bliss #1, that I read last night after picking it up at Heroes & Villains in Tucson Az. Of course you knew that already. What you didn't know is how much I liked it! Very well done Mr Fini! I especially like the Inner Monologue about kissing the girl, awesome drug-induced dialog made me laugh out loud. Good art, good writing and pacing. I can't say enough how good a job you've done!! Congratulations!

Two more panels are up!
So far so good. A panel a night and it should be done quick!
Is Bliss Printed or WHAT?
I gots to get my sensors on a copy!

Re-sequencing is a chore, but one can not dream without first falling asleep, no?
On reflection, perhaps that isn't true at all.
Are these not dreams in which we wake?
What terrors are these that surround us if not dreams but indeed nightmares of waking life?
Alpha Control was never this torturous or cruel.

Sleep, my friend. Do not let the troubles of this world hinder your travels afar. Time? Think it not, for the only truth is the vast, boundless infinite cosmos held within the gentle grasp of thy sensors.

Plantman is looking good. The Carrotoids are my favorite part. Nice work. Some of it resembles Silver Age Kirby.

Thanks, fellow Arizonan, for the nice comment and friendification!

Dude, Plantman is freakin cool. Your artwork is very Silver Age/ early TMNT-esque.
I gotta say, I like it a lot. Very Flaming Carrot meets the Tick
you gotta let me know when you print these up.

I'm glad you like those pages. I'll be posting the rest shortly. I think I'll be printing Plant Guy in the next couple of months, after Bliss if printed (which should be in March)

Your stuff is really great. Reminds me of Eastman & Laird's TMNT.

Hey Mike,

Unfortunatly, my job has taken over my life these past 4 weeks (ugh!) but I think it's mellowing out now. I'll be back with the sketch group next meeting. I have been keeping up on my drawing at home though. How's everything going with the group? It sucks missing it. Believe me, I'd rather be there than working!
