--For Immediate Release--

17AUG2007-- San Diego CA

What does our DNA and computer hacking have in common? Everything in the world of Olympia. A cyberpunk comic about DNA Hacking will see it's revival to it's audiences once again. Originally a sold out underground hit, Bloodfire Studios recently acquired the rights to develop, and redesign the comic book "The DNA Hackers Chronicles". Released as a tie-in to the movie "The Gene Generation" starring Bai Ling and Faye Dunaway, Bloodfire Studios is hard at work with original creator / director Pearry Reginald Teo to finalize the print for release to mass audience. The film, which revolves around the relationship of an Assassin (Bai Ling) and her brother, will be a sequel to the comic book series to be released. Although the comic book will focus more on the DNA Hacking aspects of the story, audience will not have to worry as the same giger-esqe and cyberpunk world seen in the movie with plenty of action that will keep them entertained. Creator Pearry Teo is quoted saying "I've held back the idea of re-releasing the comic book unless I can find an amazing slew of artists and cutting edge minded people to work with. Bloodfire Studios will no doubt bring this vision 2 steps further. Although we keep to comic book traditions, expect us to break a few rules here and there as we try to take the interactive experience a step or 2 beyond".

Breaking a few rules? Unlike most comic books, expect the audience to break puzzles and word games designed inside the comic book (called "Hacks"). The answers to the puzzles will also reveal many things that the audience might have to wait till next issue. "What we try to do is give the audience a chance to be the hacker, break into things, solve the puzzle. The joy of being a hacker is to crack codes, there is a sense of satisfaction in it. We want the audience to get that same satisfaction as well." Pearry Teo said. But if you are one who is not interested in solving puzzles and breaking codes, you can easily skip that and wait till next issue where questions will be explained.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PRESS RELEASE

An interesting tidbit for the comic book is that it will feature the characters originally designed by Pearry Teo. While Bai Ling (Myca in The Crow) dominates the screen in the movie 'The Gene Generation', Pearry's original vision of Michelle was only mentioned as 'A Ghost Muse from somewhere far away'. While Bai Ling in the movie is Asian, the original name for Michelle was Michelle Torres, but mention of the last name was taken out of the movie due to ethnic conflicts.
