Christ. I was still reeling from the passing of Steve Gerber last night and I wake up to this tragic news. I didn't know Steph well and only had limited email correspondence with him but he was truly kind and gracious. But I'm proud to say I collaborated with him during his all-too short career and for anyone who may've picked up the recent ANNIHILATION: CONQUEST VOL. 1 hc collection I think I can easily say that he did incredible, brilliant color work over what Mike Lilly and I rendered for the QUASAR series. We are certainly fortunate for our brief affiliation but I am sincerely crushed at witnessing this promising talent taken away so soon.
