In the VCJ Avatar, it looks like Brian and I are roommates. He's the one that yells all the time, and I'm the one that just shugs and goes "Hurr hurr! Guess it done broke by itself!"

Don King is a fuckin' PIMP

Concerning your current storyline: Writing is good, art is *fantastic*, but I hate the lettering and word balloons. They look too "computery" and not at all hand crafted. I guess concerning the subject matter that could be a plus, but to my aesthetics it just looks cheap and jarring.

cheers for your feedback BM...yeah, we did think about this before knocking up the lettering and thought we'd keep it a bit on the classic and computer side given the illustration style and mobile topic...pleased you dig the tale and artwork and we'll drop you a line when we sort our an update schedule...best regards, TJ

Klio, you get the Bougie seal of amazingness reserved only for the freshest, most booty-kickin' cartoonists in the house.

(LARGE STAMPING SOUND FX)

Keep up the tremendous work, sister

Delaine is made from 100% pure awesome juice, freshly squozen from only the most tender kickass-fruit -- which grows only in the "fantastic valley".

Is it any wonder that MY SMALL DIARY is so damn entertaining?

I rarely have the sheer power needed to rock and shock at the same time, but I'll try.

Awww man! Colleen Coover! RAAAT ON!

Lady, you make some of my fave porn comics -- and that is saying something because this boy buys a lot of porn comics, yo.

It's like, my weakness.

Re: Your question

Yeah, Rebecca is my wife of 13 years.

Rabbithead was published as a mini comic with a 200 copy print run, and as a wall scroll which had the entire comic in one long poster... only 10 were printed, and was then picked up by Alternative Comics and printed as a single issue comic.

She's also got work in the anthology BLOOD ORANGE, and will have work in the upcoming ROSETTA and MEATHAUS anthologies.

Oh, I gotta have the wall scroll! Make more wall scrolls, definitely.

It must have been quite a point of pride to have such an early comic of hers chosen for such a prestigious book. Does she have aspirations to go the distance and start making longer form work? Is this a career goal for her, or just a side bar to other pursuits?

Sorry, don't mean to be nosey, but since one of my pleasures is to promote the art of comics to the world, I do wonder what thoughts talented people have in mind when they want to make comics. Is it considered a pipe dream? A "maybe someday"? A "gotta do it no matter how long it takes or how little it pays"?

I'll keep an eye out for her work in future. I thought of McCloud's "infinite canvas" while reading Rabbithead. Has she read Demian 5?

Allan, thanks for the kind words about Rabbithead on the TCJ.com message board. Rebecca appreciated it.

Hey thanks, Bougie. Is she your wife or girlfriend or something?

Yeah, Rabbithead is an amazing piece of work - really unique. I've never seen seven storylines held simultaneously on a page before, much less ones that show everything from a rabbit's ears being cut off to a pill bug getting his college diploma. My girlfriend bought me the book (on recommendation from Golden Apple, since she knows nothing about comics), and this was the only strip I showed her after reading it. I mean, I had to show somebody how cool it was!

Where else has it been published?

A rap for Fred Grisolm:

Ohhh-oooooie c'mon ya'll, yes yes c'mon y'all

Freak it up, freak it down
It be Grisolm's time to come around
Cartoonin' redneck from the underground
Trailer park logic never been so profound

Never been a sound so sweet as my brotha's 'Hate Song'
He knows a date rape be the way to date wrong
That don't stop him knowin' how to mate long
Prefers bitches resplendant in a great thong

C'mon Ya'lllll sing it with me 2 times...!
GRRRRRIIIISOLM, king of the underground
GRRRRRIIIISOLM king of the fuckin' underground

From the mean streets of Oshawa, he ain't never gonna retire
Ampong ain't his child bride, you motherfuckin' liar
That vietnamese girl be a fictional character, kinda like Jon Cryer
No wait, he be real... more like them hairy cats in 'Quest for Fire'

CONGRATS!

LONNIEEEEE!!!

Lets run away together.
Not like, romantic gay style... but like homeless brothers with superpowers.

My power will allow me to find the best peanutbutter in the grocery store without even opening my eyes (aka PEANUT PROBING), and you will have the ability to talk to Seagulls.

Our only clothing will be a large scarf, which we will both wear at the same time.

A rap for Tom McHenry:

Oh oh oh OHHHH get on it
He gonna get some india ink on it
McHenry look hawt in a blue sunday bonnet
must be shrimp but you know he'll prawn it

Tommy got the finest girl around chi-town
Sara make them alt-nerd boys go "zippiddy zounds'
A couple more talented than Traci Lords' pubic mound
You answer to Bougie if you give 'em sass, or the run-around

McHenry comes correct and be cooking up 'Teen Drama'
'Dog and Cat' kickin' harder than Martin Sheen's Llama
Ask for puncuation and Tom'll scream "comma!"
M'man knows a bean-poppa gotta be wit' a bean-mama
