I've been failing miserably at drawing comics since I could hold a pencil. I remember at the age of 2, sitting on the floor in my living room with a pencil and a grocery bag watching Commander Mark on PBS trying to draw Super Tables, only to get bored and focus my attention on illustrating the Battle of Hoth from The Empire Strikes Back.
