Hey, all.

My name is Brian Douglas Ahern, though I'm known to most as Briz.

I created the satirical cartoon series The Adventures of Bumpkin Buzz which first appeared in the weekly trade paper The Comics Buyer's Guide back in September of 1991 and still runs today in the CBG monthly magazine. There must be at least half a dozen people out there who still read it.

I also did a popular superhero calendar spread for Wizard magazine for about three years, during which time I also contributed to their Inquest Gamer, Toyfare, SciFi Invasion, Beanie Power, "IN" Power magazines and various specials.

Now that I'm passe at the land of Wiz, I use my time to work on projects featuring my own heroes as well as nifty collaborations with Randall Kirby, including nifty things like Disco Ninja and Hayseed.

I also enjoy doing photography work, and my first humor book of hapless models who got turned into slickered pig farmers, or "pigboys" is already in print. No, I am not making that up.

By the way, and the avatar piece I use here isn't Bumpkin Buzz 'cause I couldn't find anything handy of Buzz in color. Maybe later. But the cool heroic guy shown is still a country boy and I did draw him. So there. It was for a rubber boot museum in France.
