Great set. Are you doing any advertising to support your stuff? It deserves to be seen by more people. 1 Reply [ Latest posted on November 20th, 2008 2:55 AM ]

We do a limited amount of advertising. At this stage, however, our comics are available to read on the web only and extensive paid advertising just isn't money well-spent. Despite the initial spike in Unique Visitors, we've found the number who stay and become regular readers after an advertising campaign has ended is nominal at best.
We will obviously have to revisit this when we start producing print versions of our comics and so any advice you have in this respect would be very welcome! |

RE: Free webcomic advertising - reminder!
Sounds like it's not easy to become a Guest Title at BVC. I did submit my URL though! :O) 1 Reply [ Latest posted on November 7th, 2007 7:16 AM ]

Not easy, no! I did get your URL, though, and I will be taking a look at your site as soon as I can. In the meantime, don't forget you can always advertise your site for free in our Suggestion Box. Just submit a 135(w)x145(h) pic either by email or by posting in this thread at the BVC Forum! |

No problem! The real credit belongs to amberlove. She's put out several warm-up bulletins about WW Day and that's the only reason I got to hear about it! |

Thanks, Angela. Loved that picture of Phalena. Reminded me a lot of the art in Mike Mignola's HellBoy. |

Thanks.
I love your galleries, too. There is a nice grainy quality to some of the skin tones (especially in the "Restricted" gallery for some reason!) that really seems to bring them alive. Excellent work. |

Not to be too shameless, but I'd like to point you to my current comic Dusk - http://dusk.ambrosiapublishing.com/. I'm honestly looking for good solid feedback on the story. I'm even willing to make trades for reviews and/or exposure. I'd be willing to do link swaps or even write a script in trade. 2 Replies [ Latest posted on June 26th, 2007 12:14 PM ]

Nothing wrong with being shameless! "Dusk" looks cool. Seems to be a bit of a Buffy-meets-Blade vibe going on but the story's obviously at an early stage just now, so that could be premature. So far, the artwork is strong and distinctive, the story is taking shape at a nice, measured pace and the characters seem to have real personalities. I like it! |

Thanks for the great comments. I am a big fan of the Buffy and Blade movies, so that might have leaked in a bit. I am also big on taking my time on slower pacing so the characters get a chance to develop properly. |

Thanks, Kay! The "prettiness" comes from all the clever artist-types I work with. I just provide the "moodiness" for them to work with. (Being British'll do that to you!)
Enjoying BBA too. Good luck with that! |

I checked out 'Hunted'. Cool!
I think it's very innovative making comics available on mobile phones.
