Header: New Items in Bumperboy Shop + APE this weekend!
Bulletin: I've got some brand new Bumperboy items waiting to be in your grabby hands! First, we have new and fun stickers...but these aren't your ordinary stickers. They're customizable so that you can write and/or draw on the sticker to tell everyone what Bumperboy and Bumperpup are saying! The stickers are not complete until you grab the nearest permanent marker and fill out their word balloons. What do YOU think they are saying??

I also have some cool Bumperboy Memo Pads! Use them to jot down your to-do-lists, a quick note to a friend, or whatever the heck you like to write!

And finally, I have two 11" x 17" Bumperboy prints that are printed on fancy metallic photo paper. You have to see them in person to fully appreciate the look of the prints! The images that are available now are "Stacked" and "Helicoaster." Check them out in the Bumperboy Shop!

ALTERNATIVE PRESS EXPO

Also, the Alternative Press Expo (APE) is this weekend, April 21-22! Billed as the largest independent and self-published comics convention, it is a favorite for fans and creators of mini-comics and all things alternative. It's all about small press and big time talent! So bring lots of cash and be prepared to buy some great comics.

This year, I'll be at a different spot than usual. You can find Bumperboy at booth #354, in the same vicinity as Giant Robot Magazine, Top Shelf Comics, and other fine publishers. I'll also be participating in a panel on Saturday, which is focusing on Bay Area Cartoonists. Here are the details:

Saturday, April 21: 6:00-6:55 The Bay Area's Young Cartoonists: Think the San Francisco comix scene hit its peak in the 1960s? Think again. Join moderator Andrew Farago of San Francisco's Cartoon Art Museum as he interviews Renee French (The Ticking), Debbie Huey (Bumperboy), Joe Sayers (Thingpart), Jason Shiga (Meanwhile...) and Chuck Whelon (Pewfell) about their comics and the ins and outs of the Bay Area creative community.

Alternative Press Expo
WHERE: The Concourse, 620 7th Street, San Francisco
WHEN: Saturday, April 21, 11:00am-7:00pm / Sunday, April 22, 11:00am-6:00pm
ADMISSION: 1-Day, $7.00 / Both Days, $10.00

And finally, the "Robots Shall Inherit the Earth!" Art Show is having a post-APE party. So if you're in town and you haven't checked out the show yet, this would be a perfect opportunity to see some awesome robo-tastic art featuring artists from small press, the video game industry, and the finer art world. Get ready for some robots on the wall, robots on the screen, and even robots serving you drinks from behind the bar!

Artists include: Wahab Algarmi, Brandon Bird, Adam Cahoon, Ben Collison, Dave Crosland, Matt Delight, Randy Dodson, MeiMei Everson, Lady Felon, gaNyan, Anthony Hon, Debbie Huey, Marco Mejia, Jeremy Natividad, Jamie O'Keefe, Jerome Opena, Thien Pham, Lark Pien, Alexander Smith, Naenae Suwankiri, Canon Tissue, Kevin Wadzinski
