About My Work

I currently have two webcomics running on the internet, "Fur Eaters" and "Odd Jobs."

"Fur Eaters" is about Romeo Dunbar; an anthropomophic poodle who finds his town under seige by zombies, invincible slashers, and demons straight from Hell. Armed with only a sander and his Lovecraftian housepet "Young One" he must battle to save his friends and family from spooky doom. Later storylines will deal with Romeo's other experiences with the supernatual; they'll all try to cover a different aspect or subgenre of horror and animation/comics. Fur Eaters is currently in the colouring stages and hasn't been posted online yet.

My other comic is a series of gag strips entitled "Odd Jobs." A series of unrelated, humorous comics.

I'm also in the process of developing an animated project. It's a series of shorts about a little boy named Maurice and a cute little rabbit named Heidi who must fight for their lives against everything anyone ever imagined was in the closet or under the bed. I've made one short claymation movie about Maurice and I'm currently working on a 2D Flash animation with him. A second one which introduces Heidi is currently being written and storyboarded.

About Myself

Hi there! I'm an ameteur cartoonist from Canada. I'm currently studying art and animation and I hope to become a professional in either the comic or animation fields some day. I've been drawing as long as I can remember. I have a special affinity for doing comics dealing with monsters, animals, superheroes, splatter, horror, fantasy, and science fiction.

My favorite comic creators are Alan Moore, Grant Morrison, Dave Gibbons, Dave Sim, Neil Gaiman, Bill Watterson, Charles Schultz, Jhonen Vasquez, Rumiko Takahashi, Jeff Smith, Doug Mahnke, the great EC artists (especially Ghastly and Basil Wolverton) and Nick Bradshaw. On the animation side of things, my main influences are Don Bluth, Mark Dindal, Tim Burton, Tom Sullivan, Rick Baker, Rob Bottin, Bruce Timm and John R. Dilworth.

My favorite films include David Cronenberg's "The Fly", "Videodrome", "The Fox and the Hound", The "Evil Dead" series, "Big Trouble in Little China", "John Carpenter's The Thing", "A Clockwork Orange," "Cats Don't Dance" and "Bad Taste."

I like music from all genres, but my favorite songs are usually jazz, ska or 80s rock. If I ever make it into the animation industry, my dream is to turn "Fur Eaters" into the first animated ska musical. My favorite bands are Barenaked ladies, Madness, Queen, and REM.
