| Bulletin: | The Comicbook Artists Guild presents a fundraising event to benefit victims of the recent California Wildfires. The event will be held in conjunction with The Comic Bug's grand reopening in Manhattan Beach.??LOS ANGELES, CA — The Comicbook Artists Guild (CAG) will host a fundraiser for victims displaced by the recent Southern California wildfires. A portion of the proceeds will go to a local charity benefiting those directly affected.? CAG's November 25th fundraiser is the climax of a celebratory weekend at The Comic Bug, marking the shop's official grand reopening after a fire devastated its previous location during the Thanksgiving 2006 holiday. From 12PM-4PM that Sunday, artists from the Guild will be sketching on commission for the Comic Bug's patrons. There will also be an auction featuring original comic book art, including CAG’s recently-published WEST COAST ANTHOLOGY. Copies of the anthology will also be on sale at half cover price.??Throughout the grand reopening from Nov 23 to Nov 25, Comic Bug owners Jun Goeku and Mike Wellman will also be donating to the event, offering their customers special savings, and hosting live music by several live bands.? The Comic Bug is located at 1807½ Manhattan Beach Boulevard, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266. The store is one-half block west of Aviation Boulevard, three doors behind Trader Joe’s and across the street from Tomboy’s.
