Watch the new Candleman Shorts Video at YouTube.com!

Candleman is a man with a candle on his head, whose heroic exploits are immortalised in the medium of Flash.
Chris and Geoff live in merry England, Earth. They both have degrees in animation and like making silly films.
Chris writes and draws. Geoff colours it in like a rather precocious child, then makes it move around like something magical.
It's colourful, silly and action-packed - just how 54% of all webcomics should be!

Will you gentlemen be attending the Bristol Comic Expo thing on May 12th? If you can get your friend to come "in character" I’m sure you would get in for free and then you could get him beaten by local youths later in town. Not only would it be funny but if you film it you have another short for youtube. It’s a winning combo.

Me and Dylan will be attending, possibly Brian will pop along too. We’re going mainly to drink and point at people that we HOPE are more nerdy and less attractive than us.

Why, thankyou. The more types the better.
We must be doing something right, then. Candleman keeps getting shinier and crazier all the time!
I like your idea of pasteable comics. Catchy. It's just a pity that ComicSpace doesn't allow object code (yet?). Candleman's still stuck mostly in Old-Skool Web 1.0 Land, if you don't count this site and our YouTube vids.

Cheers,
Geoff

Boo Candleman!
Did we scare you?
Thanks for checking out www.theGayMonsters.com.
Stay tuned for more thrills and chills.

Thanks very much. I'm still working through your archive, there are some very subtle and touching stories at work - the combination of those plus the rather shocking ones kind of keeps me on my toes emotionally.
"First Kiss" is great.
Don't miss the next two Candleman pages on Saturday. I reckon they're the best yet. (I'm improving...)

I'm glad you are enjoying the archives. I will be back to updating soon. I'm in the middle of a move, and I had to break down the studio.

AND, I will be sure to check in with Candleman this weekend. Great stuff.

That's interesting, seeing as I'm in the middle of getting together my own little studio. I'm trying to learn to draw better, so I can realise my own stories - and possibly draw a Candleman story or two myself. My drawing style is very different to Chris'(Who draws it) style.

Thanks. Finding other flash comics is always a challenge. You just came to us!
Been reading Oxblud, it's got some great colouring. Still looking through your website. Every flash comic we see is really different from everyone else's. I think they have the potential to be the most interesting form of "infinite canvas" style comics, as well as the other unusual elements like animation & interactivity.
Our work has improved vastly over the past year, but we've still got far to go. We're also trying for a short B&W print story this year, so look out for it!
