"Future & Past" was wistful, moving and funny. Very beautful work, one of the best yet in my opinion. 2 Replies [ Latest posted on June 25th, 2007 5:57 PM ]

Thanks. I didn't know if anyone "got" it. I use my wife as a gauge for how clear things are. This week she just stared at me after I finished drawing, and said, "well, it looks pretty." So, I'm glad you enjoyed it. |

I have to admit I only understood it properly the second time I read it. I liked it much better the second time too. |

Hey Ned. Nice to see someone we actually know on this site. Much praise on the drawingses! I know myself Flash MX can be annoying but it's results are just too appealing... Geoff |

Thanks for the appreciation of our work! I've looked at your comic there, I really like the clean, uncluttered style. Visually the characters are nicely turned out, and it's very distinctive. I will keep checking out your work. 1 Reply [ Latest posted on February 26th, 2007 8:44 AM ]

I finished some of our new banners (the ones with the flames). They're on the weblinks page of our site: www.candlemania.co.uk/web.html I hope you like them. I'm putting one of yours in the "Flash comics" section (not yet made...) 4 Replies [ Latest posted on February 13th, 2007 1:11 PM ]

We're not ready to be exhibitors this year, but we're definitely working towards it for 2008. We definitely hope to visit this year, though! |

Thanks! You you reminded me to read the new pages of your Candleman:Inferno. I'm really enjoying it - the flash presentation is so well done it's unbelievable! Great artwork as well! |

You do flatter us, sir. We aim to please. I e-mailed my friend Chris (who draws Candleman) to tell him about Excelsior, he'll love it too! |

I'm not usually a furry fan, but the line style in "Nine Lives" is just really lovely. I will start from the beginning soon, when I have some time set aside. Another plus on the web site design too, very good indeed, lovely styles, minimal and effective. You are extremely talented! Thanks for adding us! |

I like your comic strips. You have a confident line - do you do animation? The grey washes are effective, I like your lettering too. Slowly working through the archive... 2 Replies [ Latest posted on January 20th, 2007 1:30 PM ]

Thanks! Animation is something I'd love to do but lack the knowledge at this to do. I really think my strip would work well animated. I recently met a dude that got a degree in in it, so I've gaining his trust to see what happens. Who knows huh? Adult Swim all the way. |

The book "The Animator's Survival Kit" by Richard Williams is probably the best book you can get if you want to learn. I would personally recommend a degree course, but that's not for everyone! |

I'm Working on some new banners at the moment, not ready yet though. I'm making them in Flash, which works much better for them than Photoshop for me. 1 Reply [ Latest posted on January 19th, 2007 8:05 PM ]

Your comics are as much like a TV show as sequential art. There are some interesting and effective little bits of animation in them. I haven't been through all of the episodes yet, so I can't really say more right now. I will watch them all eventually! Thanks for the add. |

So there IS an alternative way of splitting one's sides with soup! (Other than having it pumped down the throat under immense pressure - which, let's face it, is not nearly as entertaining.) Love 'em, really funny. |
