I am a manga editor of the most treacherous kind: formerly of TOKYOPOP, currently of VIZ. Both officially all caps.

Developed/edited Go with Grace, Kat & Mouse, Agent Boo, The Dreaming and Peach Fuzz. Edited BLAME!, Kare Kano, Tramps Like Us, Kamichama Karin and Yubisaki Milk Tea. Did English adaptation for Cardcaptor Sakura, Suki, Tramps Like Us, Sgt. Frog and Jing: King of Bandits. Currently editing Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Shaman King, O-Parts Hunter, oh and I suppose some girl stuff too.

But mainly I am co-adapting a graphic novel version of Pride & Prejudice, illustrated by the illustrious Tintin Pantoja. Dig it!

Thanks muchly for accepting.
Nice work on Go with Grace and the dreaming especially - and CCS is still one of my favorites from the land of the rising sun.

Best of luck with P&P - Tinpan will do you proud, not that you need me to tell you that. She has some amazing work. I look forward to seeing it.

Take care ^_^

Thanks for your add and the comment! X3 Tramps Like Us Vol 12, eh?!! Wow. I am so impatient for the release of each book, thank you for the hard work that goes into it. :) Very funny dialogue, and Yayoi Ogawa's linework is very inspirational.

True! Ogawa-sensei is the best. I wish we could publish more of her works... at least our Germany branch got Extra Heavy Syrup! :D

Thanks for accepting my friend invite! It's awesome to see so many people on comicspace are involved so much deeper in the comic book industry than just casual webcomic artists (Not that there's anything wrong with casual webcomic artists, mind you) - I think I've found a new favorite website! Well, keep up the good work at Tokyopop!

Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery of rainbows, sparkles, unicorns, and complimentary gift of sanitizing wipes. (Note: these items may be delivered separately, depending upon current stock levels).
Thanks a gajillion-bazillion for accepting my application to be a member of your comicspacial ranks. May you have a kneecap-shatteringly great holiday and a brainstem-pulverizingly spectacular new year.

Hooray--glad you think so! It's certainly the most challenging and satisfying job I've had.

Carol:

Thank you for the comments. I might have to use that for my new logo!

May I ask you some questions about what you do at Tokyo Pop? Just curious and way to get to know you?

Wellll...I oversee the translation and production of around 35 books per year that are licensed to TP from Japan, Korea etc. But I also develop, pitch, sign and oversee the creation of original graphic novels, which is extremely exciting and satisfying work. Honestly, I would be happy to do it for the rest of my life. My duties cover art and image quality as well as words--basically, my job is to see that every book is as good as it can be, while respecting the creators' vision and intention.

That answer your question? :)

Thanks for the add, Carol. Really enjoyed the Dreaming from TP.

Thanks by accept the add. I've got a look on some of Tintin's pages of Pride and Prejudice and the result of your teamwork looks very enjoyable.

Thanks for the add, Carol! I look forward to getting involved properly in ComicSpace; right now I`m too fried from sorting out my recently created MySpace site and trying to get two comics projects sorted out before the year-end! When I`ve recovered, I`ll get on it!

And a Merry Christmas to you!

Oy Carol!

Thanks for accepting the invite. Always great to meet more manga heads. Never would have DREAMED of making Pride and Prejudice a graphic novel. Props to you and your crew on that one!

YOSH!
