I manage a comic shop in Fountain Valley, CA called Comic Universe. When I'm not at the store, or doing store related stuff at home, I'm usually working on one of my (too)many comic projects, reading comics, writing about comics, listening to music, doing logo design, or watching TV shows on DVD. I run http://www.carriertonestudios.com (under re-construction) and co-run C Squared Entertainement with my good friend and writer Carl Storm (SPECIAL dEaD). I have an artblog as well. I generally just try to stay busy. :)

It all started with Lee Falk. A reprint collection of the Phantom newspaper strip was my first exposure to comics. I knew then and there what I would do with my life. Even though I was born at the tail end, the Silver Age has always been my favorite playground. The Doom Patrol, Silver Surfer, Metal Men, Metamorpho, Bat-Mite, the Creeper, Dr. Strange, Hawk and Dove, Deadman, the Phantom Stranger, Challengers of the Unknown, etc. The quirkier, the better. I am also a big fan of the Golden Age and the Pulps. The Phantom, the Justice Society, The Spider, Green Hornet, Mandrake the Magician, the Spectre, etc.

My favorite creators and influences are Lee Falk, Will Eisner, Neal Adams, Kevin Knowlan, Dan Adkins, Steve Ditko, Travis Charest, the Art Deco movement, Alan Moore, Alex Toth, John Byrne, Warren Ellis, propaganda posters, Grant Morrison, Bernie Wrightson, Maxfield Parrish, Gene Ha, Arthur Adams, Eduardo Risso, Mike Mignola, Hanna-Barbera, and Alphonse Mucha.
