I’m going about, inviting anyone and everyone, to participate in the greatest show in Indy Comics: Small Press Idol 2008. Last year, over 100 teams competed for the chance to be published, and dozens of the top projects have been appearing in Mysterious Visions Anthology. 3 of the other top projects have been picked up by 3rd party publishers, and a couple others are also now with the Dimestore Imprint. This year, we’re upping the ante. With a very small entry free, we’re going to have a CASH PRIZE for the winner, as well as a publishing deal.
Sounds interesting? Anyone who is not currently being published by a “name” company, who is not making a living making comics, is eligible. So if you have a webcomic you’d like to rework a bit into a comic…entering will grab you lots of new eyes on your work. Self published issues haven’t been selling great? Kick it up a notch, and see how it stacks up in the spotlight.
The Guidelines for this year’s contest are here:

If you can pass this message forward to anyone, anywhere, we can blow the lid off this thing!

Hey, picked up Dr. Impossible when I was in HD last weekend.
Loved it! I find the character really interesting.
What's the gameplan for more?

Chad, my friend, you didn't give me a heads up about Doc. WTF? I ordered mine the other day. Can't wait to check it out.

Chad--Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed Doctor Impossible 1. It has a 70s Marvel feel in both the story and art that I don't get from any mainstream comics today, and it has an intriguing set-up for future stories. Looking forward to #2!
