Herholz, Rori Shapiro, Peter Simeti Writer: Bret M. Herholz Art: Bret M. Herholz Readership: All Ages Format: B&W, 88 pages ISBN: 9780979787416 Reviews Herholz could become the logical successor to Edward Gorey’s brand of serialized fiction. Enjoyable for fans of Poe, femme fatales, and The Gashleycrumb Tinies. - C Zuga (skullring.org) Pretty cool artwork. I thought it was very stylishly done. It was a style that you just don't see all that often in comics. - Ron Miller (Indycomicreview.com) The narrative is told in a serious fashion and yet it is obviously totally tongue in cheek. Good clean fun that deserves an audience. - ComicsReview.com This book has a really dark vibe, it a very ominous feel to it with lots of atmosphere in the black and white artwork. - Iann Robinson (Former MTV VJ) If your sense of humor includes the irreverent and the macabre, Diary Of The Black Widow may give you a few laughs. - T.E. Pouncy (Geeksofdoom.com) I may have mentioned this in reviewing issue #1 of this mini-series, but the artwork was noteworthy as well - primarily for being so odd and exaggerated. - Alex Haas (Indycomicreview.com) |
