"I make up ridiculous things for cartoon characters to say and they pay me! Life is good." After graduating with a BA in Cinema-Television/Production from the University of Southern California, Charlotte took a staff position at Fox Kids Network and worked her way up from lowly Fox Kids Club assistant to only slightly-less-lowly Junior Producer to Writer/Producer in the On-Air Promotions department. Her Fox Kids Bartcasting campaign, featuring Bart Simpson taking over the network, marked the first time Fox Kids was ever nominated for a Promax International Gold Medallion Award and was also the network’s first-ever win! Charlotte and her friends pooled their minimal resources and even less spare time to make the short film Troops, a parody of Cops set in the Star Wars’ universe, which, thanks to the internet, became a world-wide sensation! Since leaving Fox Kids, Charlotte has been a freelance Writer/Producer. She created on-air promos for such network clients as Kids WB, Disney Channel, ABC Family, FX, Toon Disney, and SoapNet; produced project sales reels for Film Roman, Hasbro, and Robin Williams & Barry Levinson; and developed new TV series for Hasbro and Warner Brothers Animation, including one with the creator of Dreamworks’ cg feature, Over The Hedge. Charlotte story edited and wrote most of the first two seasons of the Duel Masters series on Cartoon Network; wrote the fun facts throughout the "Pop-Up Edition" of High School Musical; and has written episodes of Kim Possible, Transformers Cybertron, Firehouse Tales, Zatch Bell, Battle B-Daman, Digimon: Digital Monsters, Angela Anaconda, Power Rangers, the new up-coming series Care Bears and George of the Jungle, and the Emmy-winning 3rd season of Tutenstein. Her books include Cry of the Wolf in the Avalon: Web of Magic series for Scholastic and four in the Sonic X series for Penguin. She is also a Contributing Editor for the new pop culture magazine, Geek Monthly, and is one of the essayists featured in the new Smart Pop book, Coffee at Luke's: An Unauthorized Gilmore Girls Gabfest. In her free time, Charlotte likes to hike on the Great Wall of China, search for the Loch Ness Monster in Scotland, dig for dinosaur bones in the Badlands of Alberta, yodel in the Bavarian Alps, sail on tall ships through the Bermuda Triangle, hitch rides on mail delivery planes to the Arctic Circle, and climb Mt. Fuji in Japan despite the giant irradiated reptiles imprisoned within by well-meaning-but-misguided scientists in the 1950’s. If you are an industry pro who is interested in paying her to make up ridiculous things for your cartoon characters to say, The Gotham Group in LA lives for getting calls from people who want to give Charlotte money. Add me on MySpace and FaceBook too! "I think we can all agree that in these troubled times what the world truly needs now is another book about a blue hedgehog who can run really fast."

I have vowed to use my super powers only for good not evil!
But so far, evil's kinda winning.*
*See "Power Rangers." |

[ Posted by Cadavermill on Feb 2nd, 2007 4:25 PM ]...
Hmm, Power Rangers... I don't think I can get my girlfriend to force me to watch that. So I guess my hopes are dashed, I'll never be a great writer 'sob'. Wait, I can watch it on my own! Yes on my OWN, your doomed I tell you, doomed!
Hmm, Power Rangers... way back in the 90's a Jason Narvey was on the cast. If you know him tell him I have his micky mouse t-shirt, and make a "muuhahahahahaha" on my behalf. thank you. |
 |
[ Posted by charlottefullerton on Feb 3rd, 2007 7:07 PM ]...
Did Jason Narvey play Bulk or Skull?
One of my episodes revealed that Skull was a closet piano prodigy. That's the only time I ever met him, at that season's wrap party. |
 |
[ Posted by Cadavermill on Feb 5th, 2007 2:39 AM ]...
I had to look it up but he played skull. We share a mutual friend so I see him every once in a long while and I always forget to bring the shirt.
Piano Prodigy yeah I can remember hearing about that, but what I really remember is when his character was turned into a monkey. I laughed a bit to hard about it.., made him sad. |

Thanks for the kind words, Ramune. And heads up: The new season of Kim Possible starts airing on Disney Channel in 9 days... and at some point my episode will eventually come up in the rotation. It's called "Nursery Crimes." Lemme know what you think of it! :) |

Ever seen that movie ARTHUR? "Don't you wish you were me? I know I do." That's the way I feel about my own resume sometimes. LOL! Kind of a pinch-me-I-must-be-dreaming thing. Whenever I see it all written out like that, I can't help but think, "Damn, I wish I were that person. Wait, ... I am!" :D Moral of the story: Dreams can come true. |

sending you froot loops then...
one thing i never understood is why does froot loops have to come up with a gimmick like every other 6 months or so? right now they have the jumbo sized loops and all that. and i hate his three nephews. why does everyone has three nephews. where are the parents? are they irresponsible tucan parents that are shooting tucan smack? are they in a constant high hanging out in their tucan smack den? did the jungle authorities went and took the kids away? are they crack babies? what is going on? 1 Reply [ Latest posted on January 2nd, 2007 10:46 PM ]

Was Sylvester the only classic cartoon character who ever actually stepped up and admitted that the little Mini-Me version of him, "Junior," was not his "nephew" like everyone else's Mini-Me's, but was in fact Sylvester's son? ("Now lithen here, thon..." "Oh, Father. How will I ever be able to face the fellahs in Troupe 12?") And where was Junior's deadbeat mom anyway?? Sylvester was the first single-dad cartoon character! |

Cool! :D
Believe it or not, our first screening at Comic Con 1997 was the first time any of US had seen the whole final thing put together either! The visual effects guys had been working to a silent rough cut of the picture, while the sound guys were working to the same (cg-less) rough cut of the picture. We finished all post just in time for Comic Con and saw the finished picture and sound together for the first time right there with you guys! (Whew! Nerve-wracking!) |
