I Should Have Known Better

Such is the story of my life ... like a series of New Year's resolutions that get broken within the first day after. When I set up this page, I said I was going to be a regular making this my personal webpage and not on MySpace. I made a promise to post updates regularly aside from sketches ... and here I am way far behind ...

Many options abound ... I can play catch-up ... and post all the minute events that happened in the last three months ... or perhaps do a highlight ... or perhaps just give everyone a heads up on what I am moving on towards ... none of which have got to do with comics ... sad, I know ... hehehehe!!!

Anyway, for better or worse (those who deem this in the latter, please skip the rest before you really collapse on your keyboard) ...

April - was the month in which I nearly drowned while swimming in Takamaka Bay, Seychelles (near the Banyan Tree hotel). It was also the month in which I did my first photography-cum-hiking expedition of this country

May - I was hit by Chikugunya, a mosquito-born disease. Aside from raging fever, I am still suffering the effects until today as various parts of my body took turns to experience joint and muscle pains. I am down to my right thumb ... and has hampered my sketching somewhat ...

June - I did a fair bit of traveling and managed to squeeze in some down time with loved ones and my partner ... inspite of the pain ... so that went down really crappily ... somehow prolonged time with loved ones tended to be major blow-ups in my circle ...

July - back to Seychelles ... tension time ... as I was following up with tons of telephone interview ... trying to get a job in a decent place ... as bouts of sickness assailed me continuously since May ... and finally, I resigned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There ... everything is up to-date-now .... ummm ... COMICS ... Okay. I managed to get my first HARDCOVER comics collection, Daredevil vol 1, and 2 TPB Astonishing X-Men and Ultimate FF. Note I am usually a fan of floppies and about the only TPB I bought on a regular basis is Y and Fables. I did do Bone since I was late to the game but switched to floppies around 40 to the end since it was THAT FREAKIN' GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!
