Hi & thanks for looking! Welcome to my ComicSpace! My name is Christopher Galletta Stevens, I'm an artist/cartoonist/writer/florist/web designer/karter/hobbyist (whew...), and here are my graphic novel, comic book, children's book, comic strip projects and websites that I do when I am not employed to do assorted freelance artwork and my seasonal job. My main website (which has links to all of my other websites and art) is Chrusher.com - the home of ChrusherComix Studios!

Mind you that all Chrusher and Towner comics have tons of free previews online, and all are also available for print on IndyPlanet.com, so please check them out and buy some This starving artist needs some help! :) Now, for the websites...

My current project is a Graphic Novel that debuts online and will also be sold in print format called Chrusher - End Cycle:

The thrilling graphic novel of forensic artist/detective/martial-arts expert nicknamed "Chrusher", the past that he cannot escape from, and a woman whose death has haunted him for over a decade. The comic debuted in 2007 and is a dramatic graphic novel that contains mystery, adventure, action, content-appropriate comedy, some erotica, and past/future tie-ins galore. I will not have nudity or swear words on the free webcomic version, so it's clean for the younglings. Check it out.

My action & comedy comic book:

"CLASSIC CHRUSHER COMIX"
Created in 1988 (when I was a fourteen-year-old in high school) and produced until 1999, 'Crusher Comics' were forever loved by my friends and family, though the rest of the planet was oblivious to their existence. However, between November 2005 through November 2006, I finally debuted over 1,000 archival Chrusher comic book page samples online. "Classic Crusher Comics" is essentially a "sketchbook with a storyline.". It contains over 1,000 comic book pages over 47 Episodes produced between 1988-1999. The website is a complete, online archive of the entire comic that begins with comedic amateur doodles (1988) & progresses into professional-quality art & story. The above Graphic Novel is a conclusion ten years after the events of these "Classic" comics. Though extremely funny, the original "Classic" line from 1988-1999 was created for friends and family, hence it has not received a warm welcome by the world-wide internet audience - and mainly because nobody has ever read it from start to finish and given it a chance. Why not be the first? The complete archive is found here, in an inverted chrono-order, and in a chronological episode-by-episode manner here. One of the comic's biggest fans is also one of my friend and co-collaborator, RaYzor. Collaborator meaning he occasionally gives me subplot ideas when he's not working, playing in his band, or writing and illustrating his own ChrusherComix spin-off, Hitman RaYzor Comics (Which I also made a website for). More info on ComixPedia. Now, next...

My kid-friendly/all-ages appropriate comic:

TOWNER COMICS
This comic is a family-friendly newspaper-style strip. I have over 100 samples up and more to come. Currently on hiatus because I grew tired of the newspaper format (and the syndicates passed anyway) and spend more of my time and creative energies on my above listed graphic novel. However, in the future, the next Towner projects will be in more of a book format, so check out the one-hundred-something-comic archive and stay tuned. My mom and wife adore Towner, far more than Chrusher (which my friends, brother and I dig more). Comixpedia entry.

My children's book:

TEE & WEE: HEALTH AND NUTRITION FOR YOUNG EARTHLINGS
A book about two aliens teaching earthling children about health and nutrition co-created 50/50 with writer Robert Buchanan. The project is 100% complete, and the self-published first editions are available in our Tee & Wee store, here! If you have kids, especially kinds of reading age with poor health habits, then this is a book for you.

One of my dozen or so hobbies - I co-own and race in a go-kart league:

GALLETTA'S GO-KART & OSWEGO GAS YARD KART RACING CLUB
Galletta's Go-Karts is a go-kart racing league that my brother and I founded. We race gas-only, 99.9999% stock motors, and mostly super-modified yard karts which makes for fast, affordable, and highly competitive racing. We (and I mean over fifty people a year) race in my back yard and at Oswego Speedway in Oswego, NY. Now, I don't have many hand-drawn comics about it (though a few are buried within ChrusherComix archives), but I do practice my comedic writing, logo artwork and web page designing skills on the site. The funny thing is, some of the slower people who race with us think that it's serious writing, and get angry with me. I mean... how can this be 100% serious? Ha ha! At times, the go-kart site is funnier than some of my comics. Look at our racin' & crashin' video clips! Good stuff! If you're in or near Oswego, NY, check it out every weekend all June-October. Just a ton of fun both on and off the track!

All of my projects take time off when my family business, Galletta's Greenhouse is in session, which is between February and June. I mention it here because my comics usually are on hiatus between May and June. Oh, and I designed and operate the website from scratch, as with all of my art projects shown online:

My favorite things in life are Rungnapha (my beautiful Thai wife), my family, my friends, my hobbies, and The Big Guy upstairs. My favorite fiction (which has all inspired my own artistic projects) includes the Star Wars saga (anything canon to the six movies, as I'm not into the expanded universe stuff), Transformers G1, Nicholas Linnear novels, the Sopranos, 1980s G.I. JOE, the Indiana Jones trilogy, and WWE. My favorite artistic inspirations are composer John Williams; filmmakers George Lucas and Steven Spielberg; novelist Eric Lustbader; comic book artists Todd McFarlane, Jim Lee, Art Adams, and Michael Turner; and comic strip cartoonist Bill Watterson. Imagining a hodge-podge of all of the above and you may start to get an idea of my art projects. My favorite world-view philosopher/apologists are Dr. Ravi Zacharias and Bob Enyart. My favorite sports teams are the 1-time World Champion NFL’s New York Jets and the 4-time World Champion NBA’s San Antonio Spurs. I also dabble in politoons, but unless someone paid me for them, I only create them when I feel moved to do so. In closing, here is my artist profile and my .

Um, well, since a small lad in the early 1980s, I've hand drawn my comics, and since 2004 or so, I color the scans on the komputor machine. Mostly on Photoshop. And I don't call it n00b, I call it being mildly retarded. ;) j/k

It is an honor, Mr. Salicrup! I have no idea how many comic books I owned with your name in them, but is certainly a great many! Thank you for your work over the years.

Thank you. Yes, I've been to Thailand. In 2004 I stayed there for a month; mostly in Phitsanulok where my wife (then fiancee) worked at the University. However my Thai is extremely limited, though I am trying. My Thai wife, "Aoo" Rungnapha, just got back from a visit to her family and friends for her sister's wedding. My wife says, "Sawasdee ka." Also, ignore the scums that say negative things... they probably wrongly think that you are a webcam-girl spammer (I used to get dozens of them on MySpace, so people can get frustrated by that sort of thing). Anyway, very rare to see a Thai girl being a comic fan! Glad to meet you. God bless!
