Greetings! I am the writer/illustrator of Lunatic Fringe, a supernatural/historical/sci-fi/mystery/romance published by 01 Comics. I have also freelanced for numerous other publishers like Malibu Comics, Caliber Comics, Brainstorm Comics, etc. It will take me a little time to get this page looking good, so come back and visit often! In the meantime, check out my art and writing at http://highanxietystudios.com LUNATIC FRINGE - Lunatic Fringe is the comic book series I am currently writing and illustrating for 01 Comics. It follows a character named John Bristol through his strange and twisted existence. Here is a brief description: "Johnny Bristol is a weirdness magnet, a focal point for all things strange, unusual, and often unfortunate. He is the living embodiment of Murphy's Law. So severe is his plight that it has come to the attention of Dr. Bertram Cavendish, one of the leading minds in the field of Paranormal Research. Along with tech specialist Farkus Jenkins and parapsychologist Kiko Goldberg, Dr. Cavendish tries to help Johnny understand and cope with his bizarre life. It's never an easy task." The book is full color, available in print, as a PDF download and as a weekly update. You can get it at http://www.01comics.com If you would like more info or if you've read the book and want to comment on it send me an email at chuck@marsweb.comHere are some more art samples from various projects:

Hey, thanks Jay. It's pretty much done now, except for a bit on inking. I've got a couple publishers interested in seeing more. I'll keep you updated.
Those Disc pages are looking good. Except I want to read more right now!

We'd love to have you come back to MT soon. Amanda talks about your last trip all the time. And it is indeed manly here, if below zero temps equal manly! I wouldn't be surprised to see a woolly mammoth stomping through the backyard.

Hi there! We’re starting up this year’s Small Press Idol…and wanted to invite you to the grand unveiling of this year’s Guidelines. I apologize for the all-in-one nature of this. At this time, individuals and teams have a little over a month to get things together and be ready to post their Round 1 entries. Round 1 will last till March 25th. It’s a solid window to get a project together and qualified for Round 2 past our judge panel. If you are interested in being a contestant, this is fair warning to get a project going! If you are a news outlet or resource of any sort, we invite you to help spread the word about Small Press Idol, and get on the official Sponsors and Supporters list on the Idol Main Page. Traditionally, the page has gotten hundreds of thousands of hits a month for the 5 months the contest runs. All we ask in return for the link placement on our prominently placed list, is a link back in some way that is fairly prominent, and that you indeed cover the contest if you are a news site. You can contact us about that right from the guidelines page. Just want to watch the show? That’s great! Now is time to sign up at the site so you can VOTE in the rounds to come, and post comments about your favorites! We’re expecting hundreds of contestants this year. It should be a lot of fun!

Hope this message reaches you in the spirit it was intended, you are welcome to ask questions, and otherwise make sure this is for real. This is the fourth year for the SPI. Last year’s contest pages are still online. So that’s what this is about, hope it interests you!
