Hello, my name is Chris and I'm a fan of comics. I have been since before I was even able to read -- damn my parents convenience store and that spinner rack of comics. I also play and design role-playing games for a "living." I live in Cleveland, Ohio, the birthplace of Superman. If you are interested, check out my infrequently updated blog Dorkland. I just purchased a small press role-playing company that specializes in anime (among other media/genres) and we are always looking for people who can do art inexpensively. We are also looking for small press comics that may be suitable for adaptation to role-playing games, if you are interested in talking about either of these, drop me a line. Check out our always growing website at Seraphim Guard.

That's the common misconception about the "Giffen" era... It was his vision, and he mostly called the shots, but it was the Bierbaums' excellent writing that caught me (that and their devotion and detail to Legion lore). If you've ever checked out the 2995 DC Heroes Sourcebook (which they wrote) you know that they KNOW Legion mythos. 1 Reply [ Latest posted on December 27th, 2006 4:11 AM ]

Preaching to the choir on that one. :) Well, except for the bit on the Legion sourcebook, that's one I never got a copy of. :( |

Yeah man, hardcore Legion fan here... My fave periods are the Levitz era, the Giffen/Bierbaum era, the Abnett/Lanning era, and the Waid/Kitson era. 1 Reply [ Latest posted on December 27th, 2006 2:02 AM ]

The Levitz era was pretty great. The Bierbaums tend to get overshadowed by Giffen's involvement though. |

Anyone who is an old school LSH fan can't be all that bad. Always nice to meet a fellow Ohioan. |

Thanks for the add! Looks like we may have a few friends in common (I mean outside of ComicSpace, in Cleveland). Best, Ken 1 Reply [ Latest posted on December 23rd, 2006 9:06 PM ]

Hey, Chris- thanks for the support! I hear ya on being a fan before being able to read. I was the same way, looking at Archie Comics before I could even understand what the hell they were saying! Cheers!!! |

Red Dahlia was originally supposed to be a series. The co-creator/co-writer John Daiker and I both got extremely busy with other things so it looks like there might not be more to the story within the near future. I might revisit ol' Red in the far off future, but for now I'm concentrating on other aspects of the site like code and the other comics I have updating as well as new features to be brought there in the future. ^_^
Thank you for the mention.
