WRITING AWESOMENESS:
Wow.
You can tell I've used up all my big, impressive words when I resort to "awesomeness."
Meh.
Big happenings in the writing sphere for me. I entered two of my fantasy screenplays (Pierced Hearts and Duermundo) in the Creative Screenwriting contest. Here's hoping somebody somewhere likes what they see.

Duermundo is a more traditional good guy/bad guy dream world fantasy/rescue the girl kind of project. A grandmother enters a dream world to rescue the soul of her comatose granddaughter. Really cutesy with a hint of angst. What fun!

Pierced Hearts (Look, I totally changed the name! It used to be called "Shatter", which I never really liked anyway) on the other hand...is completely different. There's not even a main villain. Sure, there's an antagonist, but he's not a bad guy. Pierced Hearts takes place in an alternate dimension where people's weaknesses literally keep them prisoner in a boarding school until they overcome their own limitations...which is sometimes never. Oh...and there are Lamias involved. So, watch your neck...and if you have ever read it, you know to watch your chest as well.

Of the two, I like Pierced Hearts just because of how different it is from most everything else I have ever written in my life.

I've been working on a massive research project for the past few months, so that's where a majority of my time has been spent.

I also started the rewrite of my young adult fantasy novel.
