Keith J. Murphey is an American comic creator who was born and raised in Connecticut. He learned much about the comic book industry through his mentor silver age artist Frank McLaughlin. Keith reports to be “ genuine storyteller” with a strong passion for good page breakdowns and concise narrative flow. He considers himself a penciller first and foremost, but enjoys other tasks of comic book creation including inking, writing, and coloring. He is also an accomplished painter with several published covers to his credit. He was taught painting by award winning photo realistic illustrator Timothy O’Brien. In 1998 Keith storyboarded and pitched an animated series to Sonalyst studios. The same year he created over 30 animated displays for the Harford Holiday Light Fantasia. Keith had shown his works in several galleries in NYC, CT, MASS, and RI. His work was featured in the "Barns of America" invitation in 2000.

He founded and is president of the Comicbook Artists Guild (CAG) since its inception in late 2000. During the time of his presidency he has overseen the development and implementation of several key components of the organization including its current by-laws, annual budget, and non-profit status. Keith has enjoyed being part of the organization and watching it grow and expand into multiple national and international chapters. Keith was directly responsible for the production of the first four CAG Annuals where his own personal works were first published. His first written story for his co-created character the “Commander” was debuted in CAG #5-7. He also co-created a return character “Rockabilly Rex” which was featured in CAG #1 and #7. Keith reflected on CAG, "it is an excellent networking opportunity for those looking to get their foot in the door."

Keith illustrated a short story in Psychosis #1 & #2, and painted a cover for issue #2. GWP plans to develop several new working properties for 2009. Keith will have several future works published in 2009 which include Hector Rodriguiz's, "HELLSBLOOD" and Jon Escolbales's "KILLER CORTEZ"

As well as pursuing comic book aspirations, Keith is a licensed professional Counselor, with a master’s degree in Art therapy. He is given credit for starting the comic-book art therapy movement, which was the basis of his master’s thesis, which was published in June of 2006. Please visit www.sillimanfarm.com to see some of his works.
