The Story Behind StorytellingIt's all about storytelling. Storytelling in the context of comics is the art of telling the story visually, where both the plot and the visuals merge together to provide one exclusive experience. The Comic Book Bin's goal is to cover the story behind storytelling. We care about all comics and don't discriminate. Anyone who reads or makes comics is welcome at The Comic Book Bin. But while we want to inform you about the story behind the storytelling, we want to do it fairly and objectively. We do not gossip, and stay above the fray. We are neutral and independent. Storytelling The World Around us Because they are so important to the art of comic book storytelling, we also cover other topics, as professionally as we cover comic books. From day One, we have covered action figures, thoroughly. We also cover video games, books, movies and fan films. Several guys and girls write at The Comic Book Bin. We all started as budding writers and learned our craft on the spot. If you ask us why we write and care so much about comics, we’ll answer in many ways, but one common thread will be love and dedication. Sometimes controversial, our writings have earned a lot of positive comments through the years because it asks the questions others won’t. We take this stuff seriously. http://www.comicbookbin.com

Met several Calgary natives and a few overseas creators yesterday at the James Joyce Pub in Calgary. Lots of comic book fans there. Great going. Calgary is pretty active a city for comic books. As the big con is tomorrow, it should be even more fun! |

Salut à tous. Juste au cas ou vous n'êtes pas certains, je suis Francophone originaire de Montréal. Le Comic Book Bin est un site Anglophone, mais on a une section où on discute de trucs canadiens, et évidemment les créateurs Francophones sont plus que bienvenue!

Thanks about the comments! For me storytelling is about how to best represent a story visually. So neither the artwork nor the writing are more important than one another. They merge as one. That's what makes good comic books for me. |
